Why we do not publish a price list

Because an honest list is not possible. A table that says “implant: this much” has been written without knowing how many implants are needed, whether a bone graft is involved, or what the crown will be made of. Those figures usually reflect the cheapest possible case — and then do not hold once the patient arrives.

This is the single most common complaint in medical travel: the figure seen online not matching the amount paid. So we would rather look at your mouth before quoting a number.

How your price is worked out

• You send a few photos of your mouth, along with a panoramic X-ray if you have one
• The dentist reviews the images and works out which treatment options suit you
• Your treatment plan and an itemised price breakdown are sent to you in writing
• You ask your questions, and you can ask for changes to the plan
• If you accept, we plan the dates — and up to this point you pay nothing

If your photos reflect the real state of your mouth, the price you are given still stands when you arrive. If the first examination reveals something the images did not show — an infection, for instance — the dentist explains the situation and your options. Nothing is added to the plan without your approval.

What the package covers

• The treatment itself — dentist, materials and laboratory included
• Hotel accommodation with breakfast
• Airport pickup and all clinic transfers
• Interpreter and coordinator support
• A guided city tour of Istanbul
• Online follow-up after you return home

What is not covered is stated just as clearly: your flight, personal spending, extra nights outside the plan, and private car requests added later. We deliberately leave flights out — using your own airline and any air miles is almost always cheaper.

Why treatment costs less in Turkey

The difference does not come from materials. The implant brands used — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem — are the same ones used in clinics across Europe. The same is true for porcelain and zirconia.

It comes from running costs: rent, staff costs and laboratory fees are considerably lower in Turkey, and the exchange rate adds to that. The same work can simply be done at a lower cost.

That said, there are places in Turkey quoting far below the norm, and there is usually a reason — cheaper materials, a rushed schedule, or nobody to reach once the treatment is over. When comparing, look not just at the figure but at what the figure covers.

Payment

You pay the clinic in Istanbul, before treatment begins. The accepted payment methods, and any amount required to hold your booking, are set out in your quote. If something extra becomes necessary during treatment, you are asked first and it is carried out afterwards.

There is no separate agency fee. The package price you are given covers everything, including the organisation, the coordination and the follow-up.
